Here are some common Questions our Customers might ask:
-
How did you get to where you are now in your industry? Tell us a bit of your story.
My brother John and I had both been running our own home improvement companies for several years. Mine was focused on roofing and John's was focused on water damage cleanup. We partnered up in 2013 because our businesses dovetailed so well and we enjoyed working together. Now we have the ability to help many more people. - Josh Hopewell
-
What are the most common jobs you do for your customers?
Water damage cleanup, mold remediation, roof installation, and roof repair
-
How do you stay up-to-date on the latest developments in your field?
We attend continuing education courses every year.
-
What is your pricing? / How do you establish pricing for your work?
We use standardized pricing but there are factors that can impact the cost. Examples are the length of time it takes to dry a room, the difficulty to access the work area, etc. We discuss the rates with our customers during our site visit.
-
Describe a recent project / job you did. What was the job? How did you go about it? How much did it cost? How long did it take?
One of our recent projects was a complete roof replacement due to hail damage. We removed the shingles and installed an Atlas Signature Select Roof System. The project took 2 days and cost close to $14,000. One of our recent water damage cleanup projects was in an eyeglass store in a shopping center. We extracted standing water, removed wallpaper, placed air movers and dehumidifiers. We monitored the drying results every day. It took 5 days and cost close to $6,500. One of our recent mold remediation projects was in a small kitchen. We set up containment, removed cabinets, counters, and drywall, used a hepa vac, and cleaned the affected areas. This project took 4 days and cost close to $4,000.
-
What makes your work different from others in your industry? What are you most proud of about your work?
We aren't just looking at a problem through the lens of a water damage cleanup company or a roofing company. We consider cause and effect and look for ways we can eliminate problems before they become costly nightmares. We are helping our customers live in healthy homes.
-
What do you like most about your work?
Seeing the smiles and peace of mind that we are able to provide to our customers, many of whom were having a very bad day when they first contacted us.
-
What are the questions your customers ask you the most? What is your response?
How much will it cost? We are happy to perform a site visit and provide you with an estimate prior to starting the work.
-
What do you wish your customers knew more about your industry?
Mitigation (structural drying) is more than just using a shop vac and some fans. Mold remediation is more than just wiping things down with bleach. And roofing is more than just smearing tar on roofs. Each of these jobs require expertise and competent technicians to complete the projects correctly, safely, and cost-effectively.
-
Do you have any advice for customers looking to hire a pro like you?
Although your situation may be stressful, don't be in a hurry to choose a contractor. Make sure the contractor is certified to work on the type of project you have. Check references and reviews and make sure the contractor has insurance.
